We have all had a Tooth Fairy mishap but imagine losing your tooth at school and realising the Tooth Fairy would be sad; Headmaster Ronald Rudd saved the day!

Bloemfontein, South Africa (14 March 2023) – There is nothing worse as a child, than finally freeing a loose tooth and feeling the rush of joy that the tooth fairy will visit and then losing it. That is what happened to a Grade 2 learner at Saint Andrew’s School in Bloemfontein. Thankfully, Mr Roland Rudd was there to save the day!

Mr Roland Rudd, the headmaster at the school, was busy with his day when a young man from Grade 2 knocked on his office door. The young man, obviously upset, shared how his tooth had come loose while playing on the field. It had gone missing and he promised the Tooth Fairy he would find it.

He searched and searched but couldn’t find his missing tooth, so he decided to ask for help. He thought if maybe the whole school could be alerted, they would be able to find the tooth and get it to the Tooth Fairy.

Mr Rudd sent a letter out to the school and instructed everyone to be on the lookout for the missing tooth. If anyone found it, they could hand it in at the school office.

After a few hours, the young man was called to the office where he was informed that his tooth had been found and that it had been sent to the Tooth Fairy as he had promised. They had found an envelope on the headmaster’s desk that contained a reward for returning the missing tooth and all was right again.

“In an emergency situation, Mr Roland Rudd intervened and sent out a letter this morning! Needless to say the lost tooth was found and given safely to the Tooth Fairy as promised! A good reward was left behind! Thank you to the Saints Community for coming to the rescue and helping us keep a promise! Fiat Lux”

The community has been praising Mr Rudd for his dedication to making sure the well-being of his students is a top priority. Who could imagine the stress the young man must have felt in knowing he would disappoint the Tooth Fairy?

Our hearts beamed when seeing the post on Saint Andrew’s Bloemfontein’s Facebook page. This kind gesture was just what we needed on this beautiful Tuesday. Well done, Mr Rudd!
