Three friends, Kyle Fernandes, Luke Stuart-Watson, and John Stuart-Watson, are taking a plunge for a purpose! They’re tackling the Midmar Mile swim to raise funds for the Smile Foundation, a charity that provides life-changing surgeries for children with facial abnormalities.
Pietermaritzburg, South Africa (29 January 2025) – Being able to laugh at a silly joke or smile at the sight of a close friend is a joy and precious gift that every child and person deserves to experience freely and in abundance.
Kyle Fernandes, Luke Stuart-Watson, and John Stuart-Watson are taking on their first-ever Midmar Mile for a cause close to their hearts – helping children through the Smile Foundation.
The trio is thrilled to dive into the challenge of the aQuellé Midmar Mile this February. When deciding to swim for a cause, they were deeply moved by the life-changing work of the Smile Foundation and chose to represent them with pride.
Their hearts were touched by the incredible surgeries the foundation provides for children with facial abnormalities, transforming not just smiles but entire lives.
According to the Smile Foundation, the boys believe every child deserves to feel confident and share their beautiful smile with the world.
For Kyle, Luke, and John, their swim is more than just a challenge; it’s a mission to empower children and help them reach their full potential while shining with pride!
We are so proud of these young and compassionate swimming heroes! Join them in their quest by donating to the Smile Foundation and supporting their inspiring effort.
