The Heart of Stella Foundation helped revamp and makeover the Little Minions creche, creating an enriching environment for all the toddlers and children.
Rayton, South Africa (19 June 2023) – The Little Minions creche was the recipient of a makeover recently thanks to the collaboration of the Heart of Stella Foundation, Kids Care and the GIVEN Foundation. The creche was given a whole new look as well as the tools needed to give young children the best environment to thrive.
Located in Rayton, Tshwane, Little Minions was recently established but needed a helping hand to really make it something special. The Heart of Stella Foundation jumped on board to help with the makeover when ‘Unchain our Children’ reached out asking for assistance.
Heart of Stella Foundation is a non-profit (NPO 277-196) – PBO-registered, organisation that serves the community of mothers, children and babies specifically in the Gauteng region.
“We work and team up with other like minded organisations to assist driving larger impact.”
“In February this year we were contacted by one of our partnering organisations, Unchain our Children – who focus on rescuing women, children and babies from abuse, trafficking etc and place them in our safe homes- to take on a project in Rayton, Pretoria for them.
A revamp of a new start up creche for children 0-5 years old. We jumped in and asked volunteers, organisations and other NPC’s to jump in and assist us, and what we were able to do was truly magical. During this time, we also provided the children with an easter party (which we also used as an opportunity to do further needs analysis on the creche), we had a real life easter bunny and egg hunt for the children and the teachers received first aid level three training for free as their easter surprise.”
Once they saw what the creche needed, they started planning and by the 1st of June 2023, were ready to make a difference. The collaborating organisations and volunteers took over the creche, giving it new life through paint, educational supplies and so much more.
“It is worth reminding ourselves that the greatest joy and satisfaction in life come from actions we undertake out of concern for others. The most compassionate form of giving is done with no thought or expectation of reward and grounded in genuine concern for others. The more we desire to benefit others, the more strength and humility we develop and the deeper peace and altruistic happiness we experience” – Callyn Bowler, Heart of Stella Foundation
There are a few more projects in the wings for the Little Minions creche, but thanks to the Heart of Stella Foundation and supporting organisations, the children are going to thrive in their new environment!
