An inspiring education initiative is bringing learning directly to communities, helping young people and adults complete their education and access support.
Soweto, South Africa (12 November 2025) – Education continues to be one of South Africa’s greatest tools for empowerment. Yet, for many learners, access to quality learning support remains a daily challenge. That’s where Luma Learn, a growing education platform, is stepping in.
This month, the team behind the tool launched an ambitious outreach campaign, visiting 100 schools in 30 days. The goal is to make learning accessible to every child, regardless of their background or circumstances.
The initiative has connected with both learners and educators at schools and community learning centres. These centres are often home to young adults who are returning to complete their matric, and many have welcomed the extra support and digital learning tools that Luma Learn provides.
This initiative stands out because of its focus on accessibility. It speaks 11 official South African languages, ensuring that every learner can receive help that feels personal and easy to understand. The platform also gives students 24-hour access to homework help, past exam papers, memos, and study guides, making it easier to study anywhere, anytime.
Beyond convenience, this is creating awareness about the importance of digital literacy and skills development. Many learners at community colleges and rural schools are engaging with digital education tools for the first time, and this campaign helps bridge the gap between traditional learning and technology.
Through their school visits, they are not just promoting a platform but nurturing a culture of curiosity and confidence among South African learners. Every classroom they visit represents another opportunity for a student to discover their potential, ask questions, and continue learning without limits.
The 100 schools in 30 days journey is still underway (one big day left to go), learning should be accessible to everyone, and with initiatives like this, that vision is becoming a reality.
