Meet Champ, the dog saved by the Magnificent 5; he has a beautiful nature and after some recovery, will be ready to move to a forever home.

Cape Town, South Africa (14 September 2020) – Since meeting the Magnificent 5, we have been closely watching the story develop. The five boys were a light in a dark time; moving thousands with their pure hearts.

Children are so pure of heart; they often take on the most heroic of tasks without even realising what it means to be a hero. Five young boys were moved to help a very skinny and scared labrador they found hiding in some bushes.

The Animal Welfare Society of SA shared their heartwarming story and supporters have been praising the Magnificent 5 for the heroic efforts.

The Animal Welfare Society of SA is located in Philippi and offers a full range of veterinary services to the underprivileged and disadvantaged communities of Cape Town. The Society handles about 4,000 animals per month. The Clinic is open seven days a week to accommodate those that are unable to bring their pets during the week.

Since the boys rescued the dog, he has been named his story is now being told too.

“Meanwhile Champ is being showered with love and affection and his neglected appearance defies his kind nature and insatiable appetite.

He is the Oliver Twist of his kennel block and thanks to you we are able to give him some more of everything that until now he has been cruelly deprived of.

This morning before being let out to stretch his weary legs Champ enjoyed a hearty meal and warm medicated bath that he really enjoyed and you should have seen his face when he was towelled dried before being let out to take a leisurely nap in the sun. Priceless.”

They have been hoping to get some dog food sponsored for Champ. If you would like to support Champ or discuss the possibility of giving him a home when he is ready, you can reach out to the Animal Welfare Society of SA.

“PLEASE… If there is any dog food companies out there that is willing to help with sponsorship of food for Champ🐶 that was saved by the Magnificent 5, please could you contact us on:
