A dream that music education charity Kronendal Music Academy have had for 18 years has finally come true—acquiring their forever home and a space to continue uplifting communities!

Hout Bay, South Africa (31 January 2025) — Kronendal Music Academy, a music education charity, have had a big dream for 18 years. It was a dream to finally have a space of their own, a hub and a forever home.

Now, the charity is overjoyed to share that, at long last, they have finally acquired the space!

Situated on the Hout Bay Main Road, KMA’s new home boasts a house and large fields. Here, the team intends to build their dream facilities, develop their fynbos and veggie gardens, and create a community hub that will benefit all.

Chairperson Jackie Pollok shares:

“Over the years we have looked at and seriously investigated several potential properties. There have been many obstacles and stumbling blocks to securing a site which is suited to KMA purposes, but we never gave up on the dream of KMA acquiring a property in the best possible location for such a venture.”

No easy feat, the forever home was made possible thanks to the generous support of different donors and sponsors who came together in a huge effort to help the music education charity secure its funding.

“A sincerely heartfelt and emotional THANK YOU to all those that have made this enormous difference and commitment to the future of our marginalised Hout Bay children,” Jackie adds.

“It is anticipated that this property will make so many things possible, and also generate income—encouraging visits from tourists, and participation from the greater Hout Bay community.”

The Kronendal Forever Home property will give the KMA Music School new roots and support through a performance theatre and recording studio, and a community radio station.

Other pockets of space are intended to transform into community hubs where people can flourish, including a workshop. As for the gardens, the produce will be sellable, offering another means of support.
