Natalie Te Paa was treated to a birthday dinner at Luciano by Gino D’Acampo by her friend and when staff learned she was blind, they went above and beyond to make her day special.
London, United Kingdom (01 September 2021) – Natalie Te Paa and her Claire Sara were at Luciano by Gino D’Acampo in London to celebrate her birthday when the restaurant staff did the most incredible thing! They realised she was blind, found out how to Braille “Happy Birthday” and presented it in chocolate for her dessert. The moment was a great inspiration to all!
Natalie is completely blind but it doesn’t steal her joy, she lives her life to the fullest but this moment truly moved her because it was so unexpected. Her friend Claire caught the moment on camera and it has since gone viral on TikTok.
Giovanni Galluccio, the manager of the restaurant explained that the moment was completely spontaneous. The staff had realised the special event that was taking place and decided to research the Braille translation of Happy Birthday.
Natalie shared that it is a moment she will never forget! She was also blown away by the response she has had from the public, saying that she thinks it is the kind of kindness we all need right now.
