UP Youth Choir

The UP Youth Choir are supporting the youth of South Africa with the arts. Their hope is to nurture our future leaders and create a brighter SA.

Whenever we hear the collective voices of the talented youth in South Africa, our bodies become covered in goosebumps. One cannot hear the sound of a beautiful choir and not be filled with immense joy.

The University Pretoria Youth Choir have been creating beautiful musical compilations for years. They have just recently started an arts development programme to work with the youth in South Africa. They strongly believe that a collaberation of the arts will create our future leaders and a brighter South Africa.

“There is something magical about seeing young people working co-operatively, making music, and sharing a profound lesson with us all – that it doesn’t matter who you are, where you come from, or what your personal priorities are but instead, what you seek to gain from an experience, how you are required to work hard to succeed, and how collaboration often reveals itself as a solution to the many problems our society needs to resolve.”

The UP Youth Choir have been campaigning to raise funds to help further their reach. The funds raised will go towards the youth development programme.

“We have been working with this wonderful group for more than 13 years – we have seen the development of incredible young South Africans given the right opportunities at the right time. It has been a labor of love and I ask for your support in helping us raise funds for youth development through the arts programme”

You can listen to one of their performances below and see how the music has created unity amongst the youth. If you would like to see them live, the choir will be performing on the 12th of April at the Youthful Choral Celebrations 2018.

You can find more information about the concerts here.
