This Women’s Month, Jenna Laidlaw is celebrated not just as a racer, but as a leader inspiring the next generation.
Johannesburg, South Africa (22 August 2025) – This Women’s Month, the Southern African Endurance Series (SAES) is celebrating 24-year-old rider Jenna Laidlaw, who is a fearless young woman proving that speed knows no boundaries.
Jenna’s story with motorcycles began long before she ever set foot on a racetrack. At just eight years old, she discovered the thrill of riding motorcycles. Today, she leads from the front as Road Captain of Crest Riders MCC, the motorcycle club started by her father.
Her professional racing debut came in 2023, and she made sure people noticed. Competing in four races, she walked away with two third-place finishes. While finances have sometimes limited how often she can race, Jenna never loses sight of the bigger picture.

Her hunger for speed has also taken her to the Wesselsbron Top Speed Runs, where she has not only reached the 300 km/h mark but also claimed the women’s crown for two consecutive years. Off the track, Jenna is equally passionate about passing on her knowledge, working as an instructor at Synergy Racing Academy and guiding young riders who dream of following in her footsteps.
For her, motorcycling is who she is.
“Riding is more than a sport, it’s my life, my passion, and my way of showing young women that they belong in every space they dream of,” she says.
Her journey has been made possible by the unwavering support of her parents, whose encouragement has been key to keeping her on the road.
SAES Acting CEO Liyema Letlaka says Jenna’s story is a perfect reflection of what Women’s Month represents.
“Jenna Laidlaw is the embodiment of resilience and inspiration. Her journey proves that talent and determination can overcome any barrier. We look forward to watching her story continue to unfold on our tracks.”
Fans can catch Jenna’s fearless spirit in action at the next round of the Southern African Endurance Series at Zwartkops Raceway on 11 October 2025.
This Women’s Month, SAES proudly celebrates Jenna Laidlaw, a rider rewriting what it means to break barriers and chase dreams at full speed.
