The South African Women’s Ice Hockey team have won the Women’s IIHF World Championship, bringing home yet another big in for SA!
Bulgaria – If ever a theme song were more fitting for a country, Queen’s “Another One Bites The Dust” should be on repeat in South Africa’s proverbial trophy room from today onwards! Can you hear the beat rising? Each time we write a story about another win for South Africa, our hearts beat to the song and toes tap along!

Another win for South Africa is in the bag! The South African women’s ice hockey team just won the gold in Bulgaria. They accomplished great things, with four straight wins, they were a puck in for the gold!
The team of ladies set off to Bulgaria to take part in the International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF) Championship with one goal in mind, bring home the gold.
We can proudly say that South Africans are on fire and 2019 has been the year of green and gold!
The various ice hockey associations in South Africa have been praising the women’s efforts in bringing home the title of World Champions.
