The Tennis SA team representing South Africa during the 2023 Davis Cup Africa Group III Tournament in August has been announced – Let’s meet them:

 

South Africa (18 July 2023) – Tennis South Africa has announced the team to play at the 2023 Davis Cup Africa Group III Tournament. The tournament is being hosted in Pretoria, South Africa.

South African captain Christo van Rensburg selected the team to represent the country on home soil next month. They will be facing off against teams from Benin, Algeria, Namibia, Senegal, Togo, Ivory Coast, and Zimbabwe.

The team will be made up by:

  • Dylan Salton
  • Philip Henning
  • Devin Badenhorst
  • Leo Matthysen

According to Tennis South Africa, the Davis Cup, often referred to as the World Cup of Tennis, is the premier international team event in men’s tennis. It is organised by the International Tennis Federation (ITF) and contested annually in a knockout format between teams from participating countries. With it being hosted in South Africa this year, excitement is high!
