Brunei’s national airline, Royal Brunei Airlines, introduced their first all-female flight deck crew.

The women featured in the photo are: Captain Sharifah Czarena, Senior First Officer Sariana and Senior First Officer Dk Nadiah.

The photo was taken in the cockpit of a 787 before a flight from Brunei to Jeddah, Saudi Arabia – a country where women’s rights are very restricted. Women are not allowed to drive and they have to wear an abaya (cloak) over their clothes when out in public.

Here is another photo Royal Brunei Airlines shared on Facebook of their female pilots.

“We are the Nation’s ‘Generation with a Vision’; we are the tomorrow,” the company wrote.
