“Another reason to never stop believing in humanity”. A man in Cape Town sharing the little food he had with a goose has South Africa’s attention with hopes to find him and give back to him! And, we found him!
Cape Town, South Africa (10 May, 2023)— A Capetonian recently shared a touching video of a man on the side of the road sharing the little food he had with an Egyptian Goose. Yes, you might tear up.
Although he didn’t have much of anything for himself, he still opted to share with the hungry goose. The moment reminded South Africans that the heart of giving isn’t to avoid sharing because you don’t have everything, but to spare what you can, when you do have something.

The video shared by @monrihoole captured the kind man and his goose friend in Cape Town CBD near the Waterfront. It has over 200 000 views to date.
However, people from all over South Africa wanted to do more than like the video. Instead, they were bent on finding the man with hopes of giving back to him.
Many Capetonians know his bib well, as part of the Secret Love Project, a community focused on giving homeless and destitute people a second chance through selling kaleidoscopic heart stickers.
Good Things Guy reached out to the Secret Love Project founder Michael Elion to find out if our hero is in fact part of the project; revealing that the good-hearted Goose Samaritan’s name is Clive Booyson, and he is part of the Project.
