A drone has caught awesome footage of swimmers being rescued after being caught in a rip tide at the Glen Beach in Cape Town.
Two men apparently got caught in a Rip Current at the Glen Beach in Cape Town. They started shouting for help, alerting everyone who could hear on the beach.
Luckily there were 3 surfers on the beach who were able to assist! Adam Zartz, Ryan Berkowitz & Christopher Verster – Cohen were on the beach and leapt into Lifesaver mode saving these two young men from drowning.
A rip tide, is one specific kind of water current which can be found near beaches with breaking waves. Rip currents can endanger inexperienced swimmers. A rip is a strong, localized, and narrow current of water which moves directly away from the shore, cutting through the lines of breaking waves like a river running out to sea; a rip current is strongest near the surface of the water
