Get ready for a day of wagging tails and castle magic as Paw Prints Rescue & Rehoming hosts its annual Adoption Day, featuring adorable puppies, fun games, and a chance to find your new best friend.
Durban, South Africa (02 September 2025) – Pet parents and those looking to extend their family, get excited because Paw Prints Rescue & Rehoming is having its annual Adoption Day!
Taking place on 27 September at the Stonehaven Castle Estate (yes, where that adorable pup-themed wedding happened not so long ago), the event is already shaping up to be the organisation’s biggest and most heartwarming event yet.
“This is the one big adoption day we do each year. Attendees can look forward to a day filled with joy, wagging tails, and a real sense of community.
“Of course, the highlight will be meeting and cuddling plenty of adorable puppies, along with a few of our adult dogs who have been specially trained and are ready to shine on their big day,” shares Paw Prints Rescue & Rehoming’s Social Media and Marketing Manager, Chloë Sturmheit.
Beyond the adoptions, there’s a bunch of fun activities to look forward to, including lawn games for all ages to enjoy, set against the magical backdrop of a castle. There will also be doggie stalls where visitors can spoil their own pups with treats and goodies, as well as a photobooth complete with printed keepsakes to take home and remember the day.
A K9 demonstration will offer the opportunity to learn more about these incredible dogs and see some fun tricks and stunts.
“It’s more than just an adoption day – it’s a celebration of rescue, family, and the special bond we share with our dogs. And being able to host it at a castle makes it that much more magical,” an excited Chloë exclaims.
So whether you’re looking to adopt or just have some fun with your loved ones and furbabies, save the date, your R20 entrance fee and support an animal welfare organisation that does invaluable work in rescuing, rehabilitating and rehoming puppies and dogs.
