Beauty is now beaming with joy as her SPCA carers give her a much-needed bath, helping her skin heal and her fur to grow back

Boksburg, South Africa (14 September 2025) – Not every pet is a fan of bath time. In fact, most will give you the side-eye the moment they hear water running or make it difficult for you to get them clean. But Beauty, a little rescue pup at the Boksburg SPCA, is the total opposite.

In a recent video, she can barely contain her excitement as the carer behind the camera asks, “Who’s going to get a bath?” Tail wagging, eyes bright. It is pretty clear she is all in.

What makes the moment even more special is that Beauty came into the SPCA’s care with a skin condition that left her coat mangy and her body crusted over; she had even lost some of her fur. Thanks to donations and dedicated treatment, her skin is healing, her fur will soon start to grow back, and she is transforming into a picture of health and joy.

The SPCA shared that every donation has made a difference in her recovery, helping to turn what was once a sad sight into a happy, hopeful pup. Watching her delight in something as simple as a bath is indeed heartwarming!
