When it comes to matric dances and grand entrances, Gen Z keeps doing the most! One matriculant took “showstopper” to a new level by ditching the classic car and arriving in her dad’s massive heavy-duty truck!

Richards Bay, South Africa (19 September 2025) – The stakes of arriving in style to your matric dance have evolved and come a long way from rolling up in a classic car to the spectacular event.

The kids are doing the most these days! From arriving in some of the flashiest sports cars to being pushed in wheelbarrows, Gen Z has made it a point to leave jaws dropping and crowds stunned as they make their grand entrance.

It’s all about creating a buzzing and lasting impression. One John Ross College matriculant turned to her dad for help, and together they settled on a ride that was far from the average.

In a trending video shared by Andiswa Ntuli on Instagram, she is seen pulling up in a massive heavy-duty truck and trailer to the red carpet of the matric dance event held recently.

Donned in a sparkly black, elegant gown, with a bouquet of red roses in hand, no one could have anticipated she’d cause a spectacle in a German machine of massive magnitude.

Her friends could be heard cheering for her upon arrival as the LED-decorated vehicle dropped her off and soon drove off.

“POV: You entered MD with your dad’s truck,” the post read.

The video has received a lot of love online, with numerous users appreciating Andiswa’s creatively unique grand entrance, praising it as “legendary” and “the biggest flex”.

Others also admired the father-daughter bond, with user @siya_masombuka.sa commenting:

“THE FATHER AND DAUGHTER OF YEAR GOES TO!!!!!”

This queen definitely had her moment! It just goes to show that some of the biggest impressions can often be found right at home.
