And this week is no different. I sat down with Nic Latouf, one of the incredible founders behind The Lekker Network, to unpack how a single idea is uniting South Africans across the globe.
It all started with one simple line: “South Africans are South Africa’s most valuable export!”
That phrase connected Nic Latouf and Renier Lombard and became the spark behind The Lekker Network… a growing movement bringing together South Africans from every corner of the planet. From Cape Town to the Cayman Islands, they’ve built a platform where entrepreneurs, executives, innovators, and everyday legends can connect, collaborate and create something meaningful together.
Nic explains that the idea was born from a simple truth: South Africans have done amazing things around the world, but most of their stories go unheard.
“We wanted to change that. We wanted to bring Saffas together, to celebrate who we are, to open doors for each other, and to show the world just how lekker South Africans really are.”
And that’s exactly what The Lekker Network is doing. Every day, they’re shining a light on people making waves in their industries, building bridges across borders, and proving that no matter where you are, the South African spirit is alive and kicking.
