During the marches on 7 April, a group of grannies were filmed singing and dancing, the video of them became a meme and then the #ZumaMustGoChallenge was born!

Johannesburg, South Africa (11 April 2017) – During the marches that took place on Friday the 7th of April, journalist Mamaponya Motsai filmed three old ladies dancing and singing “Zuma Must Go”, the video quickly spread across social media and before long someone had taken the video and remixed it.

This then inspired other people to remix the video as well or to reenact it, which lead to the start of the #ZumaMustFallChallenge.

We shared the original video in one of our posts on Friday the 7th of April but in case you missed it here it is again.

Then remixes started rolling in…

People are starting to post their own videos too.
