Wellington, known for his social media videos, is asking for help to travel to Mthatha for his driver’s license test in hopes of boosting his income.
Stellenbosch, South Africa (24 April 2026) – A Stellenbosch University security guard known for bringing a bit of humour to social media is now reaching out for support. And this time for a more personal goal.
Masixole Wellington Ngqungu, who has built a following online through his light-hearted and relatable videos, is hoping to take the next step in supporting his family by obtaining his driver’s licence.
He is scheduled to take his test on 12 May in Mthatha, but getting there has proven to be a challenge. Wellington needs to travel from Stellenbosch to the Eastern Cape a few days in advance, and the cost of the trip is currently out of reach.

Having a valid driver’s licence would open up an additional source of income, allowing him to take on driving work alongside his current role. It’s a step he believes could make a meaningful difference in providing for his family.
He has now turned to the community for assistance. Whether through financial contributions, transport options, or simply helping to share his story further.
Wellington says any support, no matter how small, would go a long way in helping him reach his goal.
Those who are able to assist can get in touch with him directly via social media or follow his crowdfunding page here.
