If you’re travelling from Cape Town to Durban with an empty big boot, or know someone who is, you could be a real ‘courier of kindness’ for Project Hope SA.
Hillcrest, South Africa (07 May 2026) – Nestled in the Valley of 1000 Hills is an organisation born from the passion and vision of Registered Nurse Sara Brown, who longed to give every child in her community under five years an awesome childhood.
Since 2020, Project Hope SA has provided high-quality early childhood education and holistic support to young children in under-resourced communities, starting in the Valley of 1000 Hills.
Run by a dedicated team committed to nurturing each child’s potential during the critical early years, the organisation works tirelessly, often with limited resources, to equip vulnerable children with the foundational tools of education, empower them to thrive, and fill them with hope for a brighter future.
This work is seen in the touching stories of children like Qhawe, a little boy who had to walk two hours to and from school every day because his mother couldn’t afford transport costs. That reality changed in the most heartwarming way when Project Hope stepped in, ensuring he had safe transport and a bursary.
But now, this worthy charity –which does so much for children and their community– has a parcel hoping to find its way home!
“We have a large parcel that needs to travel from Cape Town to our office in Durban — five rolls of fabric, neatly wrapped in plastic,” Project Hope shared.
“This fabric is destined for a group of incredible ladies at the Hillcrest Methodist Church, who lovingly spend their time sewing clothing for little children in the Valley of 1000 Hills.”
These are handmade clothes that would bring warmth and dignity to so many precious little ones, especially with the colder season fast approaching.
Posting the parcel would be very costly for the Project Hope team, so they are hoping that kindness will make a way.
