Girl power is overpowering the smoke in the air of Knysna! Lioda Conrad took time out of her day to share the stories of the women behind the dying flames!
Lioda Conrad an artist from Knysna and the author that penned this stunning letter about the fires, was at the base where the firefighters are being housed and cared for between their heroic battles with the flames of Knysna and Plett. Lioda wanted to speak to the brave woman taking on the flames!
She was met by a group of woman who have come from all parts of South Africa to help where they could!

Another woman on the ground trying to spread news is Wenessa Nunes, she is helping connect families with the donations being sent to Knysna.
