From making photocopies and enjoying tea in the staff room to teaching maths, Linksfield Primary’s youngest “staff members” are taking their new responsibilities very seriously.
Johannesburg, South Africa (18 August 2026) – What happens when a school needs a few extra hands? At Linksfield Primary, apparently, you call in Grade Two.
In an hilarious video shared by the school, the pupils trade their usual classroom routines for a day on the other side of the school, and they take their new responsibilities very seriously.
The Grade Twos are seen getting stuck into all sorts of “staff duties”, from helping at the photocopier to taking on mathematics lessons with older pupils.
And if the tea break is anything to go by, they are already getting the full staff-room experience.
Whether they are teaching, organising or simply enjoying a well-earned cup of tea, Linksfield Primary’s youngest “staff members” certainly look like they have settled into the job.
