South African comedians jump into controversy and come back with jokes. We love our country, but the R29 avos may just be what pushes us…over the line.

South Africa (20 August 2026) – A new comedy skit shared by Themba-Robin flips a currently contentious topic in South Africa on its head with humour, in the best way.

Because in our country, we will always find a way to laugh.

Border patrol officers are waiting to stop foreigners making their way into South Africa. Except nobody is trying to come in. Ja, they are not trying to enter the country at all. Actually, they are sneaking out. Even the South Africans.

Why? Paying R29 for an avo. The unseriousness of politicians who swim in potholes. Data being wildly expensive. Anaconda playing on TV for the 19384562th time.

The sketch features comedians Themba-Robin, Mo Mothebe, Q Dube, Reggie Peace, Romeo Sandile Mthabela, Lorenzo Zulu, Prince Ndwalaza and Irvine Hanyani.

Have a laugh!
