14-year-old senior doggo Kara got the best birthday party. She was showered with gifts, and her favourite team sang her a birthday song.
South Africa (24 August 2026) – Wet Nose Animal Rescue Centre threw a birthday party fit for a princess for their beloved Kara, a 14-year-old rescue waiting to find her forever home. Kara is one of their long-stay pups who got to celebrate her big birthday surrounded by the team who care for her.
Wearing a pink tutu and given a glittery pink bowl filled with her favourite food, the team sang her a happy birthday song and made sure she had all the treats her heart desired.
Take a look at the touching moment below:
Animal rescue centres always have more senior dogs than they should, because they are harder to adopt out. People always go for the puppies for their cuteness factor, but seniors are just as deserving. The best part is, they are house-trained, calm and love naps.
Kara is looking for her perfect home where she can spend her golden years relaxing and snacking. If you would like to find out about adopting her, check out the post here.
