Limpopo, South Africa (07 September 2026) – Not so long ago, we shared baby rhino Tshepi getting the hang of mud baths and generally being outrageously cute.
Now, she’s moved on to a new life skill…eating like nobody is watching!
The Rhino Orphanage has shared a video of Tshepi tucking into a pellet and teff porridge as she starts trying solids. It’s obvious that she found her first meal lipsmackingly good…

Tshepi has a knack for going viral with her antics. The video has already gained more than 119,000 views, over 8000 reactions and hundreds of shares. Everyone agrees that the lips are very much the main event.
“If that was a human, I’d be cringing, but a baby rhino I’m smiling,” one person wrote.
Others were reminded, perhaps a little too specifically, of their grannies with false teeth and ex-wives. LOL.
