South Africa (16 September 2026) – September is Will’s Month in South Africa, which means this is your annual reminder to do the thing most of us would really rather not think about.
Whether you’ve never written a Will or yours hasn’t been looked at since flip phones were cool (the first time round), now might be a very good time to sort it out.
Nobody wants to think about not being here anymore and it is probably why so many of us keep pushing this particular bit of life admin further down the list. But having an up-to-date Will is incredibly important, not necessarily for you, but for the people you love and leave behind. And that is exactly what we got into on this week’s “Good Things with Brent Lindeque” poddie, when I sat down with Grant Fietze from Capital Legacy to talk about wills, estates, the mistakes we often make and why getting your affairs in order doesn’t need to be nearly as intimidating as we make it out to be.
