The NSRI saves lives across South Africa every day, and now you can support their incredible work while standing a chance to win something lekker!
South Africa (29 October 2026) – South Africa has a drowning crisis, but thankfully, we also have an incredible organisation working tirelessly to save lives, prevent tragedies and make our waters safer for everyone. And now, South Africans have an opportunity to support their life-saving work while standing a chance to win something pretty lekker in return!
The National Sea Rescue Institute (NSRI) is an organisation that makes our country a better place. From volunteer rescue crews responding to emergencies at sea and on inland waters to lifeguards protecting our beaches, their work saves lives every single day. But what makes the NSRI so special is that they don’t just respond when things go wrong. They also work incredibly hard to prevent tragedies from happening in the first place.
Through water safety education, survival swimming lessons and their iconic Pink Rescue Buoys, the NSRI is helping communities across South Africa become safer around water. Their programmes teach children essential skills, equip ordinary South Africans to respond during emergencies and give families greater peace of mind when enjoying our beautiful coastline, rivers and dams.
Of course, none of this happens without funding, and that’s where the rest of us can get involved.
The NSRI’s Cars4Good competition gives South Africans a chance to support this important work while standing a chance to win one of two brand-new Suzuki Jimny 5-doors. An entry costs R695. The funds help the organisation continue its drowning prevention and rescue initiatives across the country.

While winning a new set of wheels would be exciting, the real prize is knowing your contribution helps an organisation doing extraordinary things for South Africans. Your support could help another child learn to swim, equip a volunteer rescue crew with essential resources, support lifeguards keeping our beaches safe or help ensure that someone facing danger on the water makes it home to their family.
The NSRI has spent years showing South Africans what it means to look out for one another and this is a great opportunity for us to return the favour.
After all, saving lives is a team effort, and every contribution helps keep this incredible organisation doing what it does best.
If you’d like to get involved, you can enter the Cars4Good competition here. Entries cost R695, and terms and conditions apply.
