South Africans were left in shock when AB de Villiers shared a video announcing his retirement but since then, he has received so much support.

AB de Villiers shared a video explaining that he would be retiring from international cricket with immediate effect. He said he wanted to end his career while still playing good cricket. He feels tired and thinks that now is the best time to step aside. The video has had over 1.3 million views since being posted on Twitter yesterday.

At first, people were in absolute shock from the announcement but then the messages of support started rolling in and our hearts started feeling so full. The best one so far has been from Dale Steyn. He shared a heartfelt message along with some fun-filled photos of AB from over the years.
