Table View High School choir recently took part in the Cape Town Eisteddfod with a performance of Phind’ukhulume, a Zulu gospel song. The performance was beautiful.

The arts are an integral part of any schooling environment so it is always a treat to witness schools supporting them. Many do this by having drama clubs or school choirs.

The 2018 Cape Town Eisteddfod took place over this past weekend and schools from across the province took part. The eisteddfod was established in 1903 and supports 5 departments within the arts. They focus on art, dancing, literature, music and, speech and drama.

“Our ambition is to promote the arts and culture in Cape Town and has served as a first platform for many great entertainers today”

One of the performers of the day was the Table View High School choir. They performed the Zulu gospel song Phind’ukhulume by Joyous Celebration. The performance features two soloists followed by the entire choir. It is a stunning performance.

“The choir received 84% at the Cape Town Eisteddfod and then gave us a repeat-performance in assembly. On Africa day.” – Table View High School
