Faf de Klerk has set a challenge for men in South Africa to create awareness for testicular cancer… by encouraging them to check their bits!
South Africa – Faf de Klerk has made walking around anywhere but a beach or pool in a speedo, pretty acceptable these days. If he can meet Prince Harry wearing only a South African flag costume, he can do anything!
That includes telling South African men to check their bits.
The #FafChallenge has started to gain momentum with Siya, Mapimpi and Cheslyn Kolby already stripping down to raise awareness.
Using rugby ball references, the #FafChallenge website gives insightful tips on how to check for any irregularities as well as providing testi-monials from two testicular cancer survivors. Check the website out here for more info.
Testicular cancer is one of the most common cancers in young men (15 – 49 years old), so it is essential to check for any changes regularly. When detected early on, testicular cancer is easily treatable.
While Faf and Siya are wearing a South African flag speedo around their bits, there are no rules to the challenge so you can choose to wear a speedo, your favourite underpants or your cheeky (and holey) tightie-whities. It doesn’t matter what you wear, at the end of the day the point is to raise awareness and check for testicular cancer.
Take a look at some of the guys taking up the challenge. Will you be challenging anyone to raise awareness?
