Omar worked through rain and shine for years to save up and buy a car. He was a staple at the Steenberg Village, but today, his story of success is inspirational!
Tokai, South Africa (17 February 2020) – Nazley Du Plooy shared an update with her community that left everyone feeling inspired. The news was about Omar, a former car guard from Steenberg Village.
Omar worked as a car guard to make ends meet. He saved all his tips in hopes of buying himself a car one day. Omar was an integral part of the parking lot he watched over, making many connections with the shoppers whose vehicles he monitored.
One day Omar stopped coming to work; he had accomplished his dream and saved enough for a car. After buying the car, Omar became an Uber driver and now earns more than ever before. Many shoppers noticed his absence and always wondered what happened to him. Many learned of his success via Nazley’s post.
“Best news ever this week! Some of you may have seen on another group (I was so excited, couldn’t wait for the power to go on to post)
Below is a pic of friendly Omar that some of you might recognise. He was the car guard at the Woollies side of Reddam/Steenberg Village. Omar worked on rainy and sunny days with a smile on his face. He saved all the tips to buy a beautiful car and is now an Uber Driver. My heart is overjoyed by what he has managed to achieve and I wish him all of the best in his new venture.”
Tokai residents were over the moon to learn what had become of Omar and were very proud of his success. Omar has inspired everyone by showing that you can do anything as long as you set your mind to it!
