The Randburg SPCA needs a helping hand with some of their daily-use items; the lockdown has had an effect on them and any help is welcomed.
Johannesburg, South Africa (21 October 2020) – On the 19th of October, the Randburg SPCA sent out a plea for help with their wishlist. These are items they need on a daily basis and with a drop in funding due to the economic crisis, they need a helping hand more than ever.
The SPCA lost its main funding back when the South African Lottery pulled funding for all animal welfare projects and since then, many of the SPCA branches have been in a constant crisis of possibly closing their doors. Thankfully, the various branches reach out whenever they need help and people give whatever they can.

- Any adult food for cats and dogs
- Any tinned food for cats and dogs
- Liver or chicken breasts for sick animals
- Cat litter *
- Black bags
- Washing powder
- Toilet paper
- Bowls
- Leads and collars
- Jik/bleach
- Pine gel
- Flytraps
- Copy paper
- Black pens
- Plastic sleeves
- Second-hand soft toys
- Dishwashing liquid
- Jeyes fluid
