The Different Foundation is giving everyday South Africans the chance to be a part of distributing R1 million to local charities.
South Africa (26 July 2021) – South Africa has been through some tough times recently, and so Different Foundation is helping to make a difference by letting South African’s choose which projects on Different.org get funded. In total, they are distributing up to R1 million of available donations, but they want South African’s to choose where the money goes.
The process is super simple and takes less than 10 minutes. Sign up on Different.org, choose to be a #doDifferent activist for an approved project, and the Different Foundation will allocate R600 to that project. Add a profile pic and share your project page, and an additional R400 can be allocated to the project. It’s that easy! As soon as a project is fully funded, the funds will be transferred to the partner NGO to start making an impact. Each week, there are new challenges that can earn the project extra funding, but that is a surprise for now.
The Different Foundation has been funding projects on Different.org for nearly eight years and, to date, has funded over 150 projects and raised over R18 million.
By signing up to be a #doDifferent activist for a project, you will get feedback on how the project creates impact so you know how your allocation was spent – and just so you know, all the expenses for the platform are covered by Different Life (a life insurance provider with philanthropy at the core), so 100% of funded cash for a project goes to the project, no fees apply.
