Joint Prosperity is turning every kilometre at the 702 Walk the Talk into an opportunity by raising funds to help the Amy Foundation equip young South Africans with skills, mentorship and pathways to employment.

Johannesburg, South Africa (16 July 2026) – Johannesburg’s streets will be filled with thousands of walkers during the 702 Walk the Talk on 26 July, but for one team, every kilometre will mean something even bigger.

Joint Prosperity is taking on the event with a mission to raise R60,000 for the Amy Foundation, helping more young South Africans gain the skills, mentorship and support they need to find employment or start businesses of their own.

The campaign aims to fully fund at least five young people through the Foundation’s Youth Skills Development and Entrepreneurship Programme, giving them the tools to build brighter futures.

The Amy Foundation has spent years creating opportunities for young people from communities affected by unemployment, inequality and limited access to education and employment. Through vocational training, entrepreneurship, work-readiness programmes and mentorship, the organisation helps young people turn potential into possibility.

The impact speaks for itself. More than 2,550 young people have secured employment through the programme, while over 300 businesses have been launched by Amy Foundation graduates.

As Youth Skills Development Programme Manager Hilary George explains, giving young people the right support can completely change their outlook.

“When young people are given structured skills, mentorship and belief in their own potential, we see extraordinary transformation. What starts as uncertainty becomes confidence, and what feels like limitation becomes leadership.”

Every donation helps cover the cost of training, mentoring and preparing another young South African for the world of work, or even better… become an entrepreneur.
