The My Incredible Business Series is spotlighting real stories of SME resilience this festive season, with the competition extended to January; this is why it’s become more than a competition.

South Africa (10 December 2025) – December is usually the month when everything slows down. Emails take a little longer to land, businesses switch into survival mode, and our collective focus tilts toward family, rest and a much-needed breather. But for South Africa’s small and medium-sized businesses, the My Incredible Business campaign is proving that momentum doesn’t have to pause for the holidays. In fact, the story-sharing competition has become so much more than a chance to win R50,000 in Incredible vouchers; it has become a celebration of community, courage and the beating heart of local entrepreneurship.

With the competition now extended to the end of January, Incredible is using this season to honour perseverance, the kind that builds meaningful futures, one long night and one hard decision at a time.

This year, the brand didn’t just launch a competition; they launched a storytelling movement. The Incredible Business Series shines a spotlight on local entrepreneurs who have weathered storms, bet on themselves and kept moving forward. These are stories rooted in grit, not the myth of overnight success.

It’s an invitation for SMEs to share what really happened on the road to building their business, the struggle, the turning point, and the breakthrough.

Incredible describes it as celebrating “the real challenges, the sleepless nights, the moments of doubt, and the courage to keep going.”

And as each story rolls out, something powerful is happening. South Africans are connecting with these businesses not as brands but as people. Viewers are meeting carpenters who turned garages into workshops, bakers who started with borrowed ovens, and creators who turned lockdown side hustles into livelihoods. Their journeys are relatable, human and deeply encouraging.

Like Granny B, who turned DIY projects into a proudly South African business. From shipping stunning chalk paints from their garage, to having a fully-fledged warehouse space to make sure every crafter gets the exact colours they need to bring their project to life.

Being part of the series is more than a promotional shout-out. It gives SMEs the chance to share their journeys across Incredible’s platforms, reaching massive audiences who actively support local businesses. You will find the inspiring playlist of SMEs here, including Coffee to Car, GovGrowth and Vicky’s Veganry. What makes this series even more inspirational is that these SMEs talk openly about how they survived their hardest days, giving others the courage to survive theirs.

You can find the Incredible Business Series on YouTube, TikTok, Facebook and Instagram.

Incredible says the goal is simple: “When you thrive, we all thrive.” And in a country where small businesses hold our economy and communities together, that rings true. This initiative isn’t just about vouchers or visibility. It’s a commitment to being a partner. A supporter. A believer in the people behind the storefronts.

As the festive season rolls in, this couldn’t be more needed. December is when reflection happens. It’s when many SMEs quietly take stock of a year’s worth of lessons, bruises and triumphs. The Incredible Business Series offers them something rare: a moment to be acknowledged for their resilience and a platform to tell the story behind the scenes.

And for one exceptional business, the R50,000 tech investment waiting at the end of January could be the accelerator that reshapes their next chapter. But even before the winner is named, the impact is already unfolding. Voices are being shared. Journeys are being amplified. Communities are rallying. And South Africans are remembering that innovation doesn’t only happen in boardrooms; it happens in back rooms, on dining-room tables and in small shops filled with big dreams.

If you know a business with a powerful story of grit and growth, now is the time to nudge them forward.
