Netflorist have swept Vanessa Snyders off her feet after her very public break-up with Takealot and people can’t get enough of the whole ordeal

Johannesburg, South Africa – Vanessa Snyders had a customer service experience from hell after ordering items as Christmas gifts from Takealot in November. What was meant to be an easy, efficient way to shop turned into a nearly 8-week ordeal.

Vanessa shared a post on Takealot’s Facebook page on the 31st of December complaining about the poor service she had received and how after finally receiving the items, both were faulty and broken.

This led to weeks of back and forth, broken promises and a slight hilarity that has had followers on the edge of their seats. The outcome, possibly the tensest breakup anyone has ever witnessed. You can see the break-up here if you missed it.

People said that Takealot missed a massive opportunity to spin this into a positive PR stunt and we agree. BUT, another online shopping store swooped in and swept Vanessa off her feet.

Netflorist, the famous gifting website responded to Vanessa on her Takealot post and offered to mend her broken heart.

“Vanessa, please excuse our forwardness but if you never try… We’re so sorry to hear about your broken heart. It’s never easy to say that final goodbye, but we truly believe that everything happens for a reason and that great things are in store for you!

We’ve been browsing through your profile and we can’t tell you how happy we are to hear you’re single again. As Shawn Mendes would say, ‘I know I can treat you better’. You seem fun and spontaneous, all the characteristics that make our heart skip a beat.

We know it may be too soon, but if you feel you’re ready, we’d love to pop over to your place with a glass of bubbly and some chocolate dipped strawberries so that we can get to know you a little better. If you’re at all interested, please send us an inbox with your contact details. We have a good feeling about this…”

She was blown away by the gesture and graciously accepted her new “bae”. We had mentioned in our previous post that followers were placing bets on how long it would take for her refund to be actioned and thankfully, possibly because of all the attention, it was pretty quick. Vanessa confirmed that a refund was received and at last, this is all over.

Once again, we cannot believe how crazy and entertaining the entire debacle was. We are glad that Vanessa can move on now and wish her the best with her new relationship.

“I’m out here living my best life with NetFlorist”
