Special Kneads Cafe breakfast

The Special Kneads Café in Johannesburg was started by a mother who wanted better opportunities for her daughter but the café is set to change the lives of so many special needs adults.

Because not all of us are the same but all of us deserve the same.

The Special Kneads Café in Johannesburg was started by a mother who wanted better opportunities for her special needs daughter.

Kim Rundle was inspired by a doggy daycare her daughter worked at and decided to follow in its unique footsteps. The doggy daycare was set up as a way for special needs teens to find work and Kim wanted to create the same environment for adults who needed work too.

The daycare was started by Tamara Coumbis for her step-son. He needed work and had a passion for animals. It was at this doggy daycare that Kim Rundle met Tamara. Kim’s daughter is also special needs so the mothers became close.

Since then Kim has been inspired to open yet another business that will offer employment options to special needs adults.

Kim joined the Good Things Guy to chat about her journey of opening up the Special Kneads Café.
