Caleb’s Passion for Wakeboarding Opens Door to Singapore Stage

Caleb has been selected to represent South Africa as part of the Junior Wakeboarding and Wakeskating Development Team, travelling to Singapore in June 2026.

Cape Town, South Africa (05 May 2026) – Singapore could soon be the next stop in young South African wakeboarding and wakeskating talent Caleb’s growing sporting journey after he earned selection to represent the country on the international stage.

Caleb has been named as part of the South African Water Ski & Wakeboard Federation’s Junior Wakeboarding and Wakeskating Development Team set to travel to Singapore from 12 to 22 June 2026 for an international training and competition experience.

The opportunity will see him train alongside riders from around the world while also competing in an International Waterski and Wakeboard Federation-sanctioned event.

For Caleb, countless hours on the water, tough training sessions and learning through every fall have all become part of the process. Those closest to him say his dedication, discipline and willingness to keep improving are what helped earn this opportunity.

While the trip brings excitement, it also comes with financial pressure for the family, with the international tour being privately funded. The goal is to raise between R45 000 and R50 000 to help cover travel and competition costs ahead of the June departure.

His family says they are incredibly proud of the work Caleb has put in to reach this point and are now hoping the public can help support the next phase of his journey.

“As parents, you always hope your child finds something they truly love. Caleb has,” they shared. He has earned this opportunity through hard work, discipline, and heart. Now we are doing everything we can to help him take this next step but we cannot do it alone.”
