The North West may be South Africa’s poorest province, but the care given to animals in need is as good as gold!
North West, South Africa (04 February 2025) – Hearts are full in the North West with organisations working to protect animal welfare all the way up to the borders of neighbouring Botswana. Our comprehensive charity list grows and evolves every year as we add more good causes to the list. This is the 2025 list for the North West province.
Cats are some of the most cared for, with several organisations solely focusing on feral cat colonies, but that’s not to say the rest are left aside. Organisations vary in caring for wildlife, dogs and even cattle when needed.
These organisations have much smaller donor bases, but they make a huge difference, covering vast areas to make sure animals are cared for. If you would like to support these animal heroes, you can find a team to support below:
