The pageantry world has crowned a new South African queen!
KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa (22 June 2026) – Chrizmie Mostert has graciously accepted her crown as Miss Teen World Model 2026, becoming the first South African teen ever to claim the prestigious title!
The young woman from Newcastle earned her crown in the city of Bogotá, Colombia, after a week of standout performances that left no doubt she was worthy of the top spot.
A Grade 10 learner with a heart full of determination, Mostert flew the South African flag high throughout the competition – her commitment and hard work ultimately earned her the winning title.
Among the many highlights of the pageant, Mostert shone when she took to the stage in her national costume for the Mini Model World Organisation.
“The wings are a replica of our National Coat of Arms, symbolizing the protection of her people. The mighty Secretary Bird lifts our nation higher, and Chrizmie stands here advocating for children with learning disabilities.” Miss Teen Universe South Africa shared. “Gold is not just what we mine – it’s the richness of our people. The elephant represents wisdom, strength, and unity, and she carries that spirit with her tonight. She is South Africa – protected, empowered, and wise.”
Upon accepting her crown, a moved Mostert expressed her heartfelt gratitude to everyone who had supported her along the way.
“With a grateful heart, I would like to thank each and every person who has been part of my journey to becoming Teen Model World 2026.” she said, “To my fans, supporters, dearest family, friends, business collaborators, sponsors, and talented designers – thank you for believing in me, encouraging me, and standing by my side every step of the way. Your love and support made this dream possible.”
