Johannesburg, South Africa (06 February 2021) – Converse has pledged R1 million to help with student debt relief in South Africa.

And you can nominate someone who needs the help!

The issue of student debt is a prominent one that many South African youth face, with an increasing need for this to be erased. Converse is pledging R1 Million to support and assist students across South Africa, allowing students with interests across any career field the chance to apply.

“Student debt is holding so many of our youth back, and we want to help. We’re happy to announce that we’re pledging one million bucks toward helping students pay off their student debt.”

The focus of the “kick the debt” campaign is to try and alleviate even a small portion of the result of generational economic depression. The campaign aims to make a difference to the youth in South Africa as education is prohibitively expensive, and as a result, student debt is incredibly high.

  1. Hello there Firstly I will like to thank converse to have made a sacrifice for us the student struggling to finish the course because of the finances (NSFAS). I have made a good impression for the first two years that I spent at the University of Sol Plaatje University. Therefore, your help will not go to waste and will only nurture my studies until next year when I qualify for NSFAS again. I am looking forward to hearing from you Sir/ Madam…
