South Africa as a whole is wishing the rain would fall in the driest areas so it is no surprise that even eNCA got a little excited about reporting the coming rains.
For parts of South Africa, the dry spell has had some relief with the coming winter rains. Cape Town has been blessed with another positive weather forecast.
eNCA Weather has reported that thunderstorms are slowly moving south-eastwards from the West Coast and parts of the Karoo. They have forecast that the storms are likely to move over towards Cape Town.
This is the third time in three weeks that the Western Cape has been forecast to have rainy weather.
They also reported that their mornings Eumetsat satellite image showed cloudy and cool conditions over central & eastern South Africa and reiterated that thunderstorms would be moving over parts of the Northern & Western Cape.
We know there are some seriously talented photographers in Cape Town so we cannot wait to see the images they capture during the thunderstorm. We will be sure to share the images with you as soon as they are published online.
In the meantime, if you are a pluviophile, be sure to pull out your wellies and get splashing! The rains are predicted take place on Friday morning. Please remember though, water restrictions are still active even with rainfall.
