Clean C and Brownie points have teamed up to host 11 beach clean-ups across Cape Town. These are the beaches and how to join in on the day.

Brownie Points, a do-gooder community upliftment startup, and Clean C are co-hosting a clean-up of 11 beaches around the Cape Town area.

Brownie-Points is an online platform connecting people and corporates to NPOs driving skilled and unskilled volunteerism and rewarding people for their good deeds. These rewards are brownie-points that can be converted into over 60 different rewards, like food, data, and investment vouchers.

The startup has also been selected as one of the Top 10 African startups for the Startupbootcamp Cape Town Accelerator. They were chosen from a pool of 514 applicants, attended the prestigious first-ever Africa-based programme over the past 3 months and will showcase their scalability end November on the official Demo Day.

“Having clean beaches is not only good for showing Cape Town from its best side, but also positively impacts communities nearby. Brownie Points is supporting Clean C in their efforts to uplift communities to be free from crime, enable them to live with mutual respect and dignity and to realise their dreams,” says Pascale Henke, CEO of Brownie Points, on why they’ve decided to take on this project.
