Fritz Fechner filmed an amazing, in fact nearly perfect video of Cape Town, then called it ‘The Mother City’. Watching it made us feel like it was a movie!
With the monster of all winter storms heading towards the Western Cape we thought we would share one more ‘sunny day’ drone video that makes Cape Town look dream-like! This video starts off with a shot of the beautiful pink clouds so often spotted on a beautiful Cape Town evening.
The city is most famous for its views of the mountain, sunsets and the oceans that wrap around the famous Table Mountain all of which feature here. More recently the city has been famous for its massive drought and lack of water.
While the storm is bringing exactly what the Western Cape needs, which is rain! It is being predicted as the storm from hell. People are urged to be pre-cautious and to protect their homes.
“Residents should make real preparations for the storm and not take it lightly. They should be prepared to stay inside their homes. Outside they should tie down their belongings because we are expecting abnormally strong winds‚” – Hannelee Doubell, South African Weather Service communications manager
The storm is set to hit Cape Town on Wednesday morning the 7th of June 2017.
Capetonians have been gushing over the perfect video calling it beautiful and breathtaking! The video was shot by Tourist Fritz Fechner on a DJI Phantom 4 Pro and Canon EOS 6D. Watch the video below,
