This week, the Mdzananda Animal Clinic celebrates the arrival of a custom-built mobile and education clinic, bringing renewed hope and resources to Khayelitsha’s pets and their owners.
Khayelitsha, South Africa (12 October 2025) – It’s hooray for happy days at the Mdzananda Animal Clinic as the team welcomes a brand new mobile and education clinic this week!
Thanks to the incredible support of loyal partners and animal protection organisations, Welttierschutzgesellschaft (WTG), the Mdzananda team will be rolling into Khayelitsha with something truly special: a custom-built Mobile and Education Clinic trailer!
The new addition comes as a heartwarming turn of the tide and a boost in resources that will ensure more animals are attended to following a difficult season that saw the Mdzananda operation’s room severely damaged in September.
Now, community outreaches, awareness campaigns, sterilisation drives and vaccination days will reach even more furry friends, driving meaningful change one paw at a time!
“Designed with care and built with love, this trailer gives our team and community a cleaner, safer, quieter, and more private space to treat pets in need,” Mdzananda shared in a post.
“It allows us the time to truly connect with each pet owner and assess every animal calmly, even amidst the bustle of mobile clinic days.”

The animal welfare charity’s supporters have also joined in the celebration of this new mobile clinic, describing it as a wonderful asset and one they hope will inspire more people to look after and help the innocent.
For these animal heroes, this trailer isn’t just a vehicle. It’s a symbol of hope, compassion, and progress for the pets and people of Khayelitsha.
