Durban beaches are suffering under the weight of the pollution and litter that has been washed there due to recent flooding. Organisations are working to clean it up.

Durban, South Africa (13 April 2022) – All the flooding that has taken place along the KZN coastline has carried debries and litter along with it and flushed it all out towards the ocean. This has been one of the most devastating things to happen to the environment since the last floods.

South Africans and organisations have been quick to rally and start planning beach clean-ups to tackle the overwhelming amount of litter on the beach.

We have been sent several so far that we have compiled into one list so those wanting to help, can find one closest to them.

Adopt-a-River

We need volunteers! We’re appealing to individual volunteers and companies.
