A young Rottweiler who was found by a Paramedic at an accident scene in an informal settlement, has found his way home too!

This morning while EMER-G-MED‘s M07 crew: Cheyenne Davis and Charles Byrne, were attending to an accident scene on London Road in Alexandra, they spotted a Rottweiler running down the road from Linbro Park into the township.

They went after the dog and saw that he was limping, they managed to catch him and he very willingly jumped into their car.

“Cheyenne says he is one of the most loving animals she has ever met. He’s a male Rottweiler, black and brown with a dash of white fur on his chest. He has an extremely friendly temperament and is well groomed – he gave MANY licks to his rescuers! It definitely seems like he came from a good, loving, home!”

He was transported by the Paramedics to Wendywood Veterinary Clinic for assessment, the vet found that the dog had either an injury or arthritis of one of his knees.

Unfortunately he was not wearing a collar and didn’t have a chip implanted so was kept at the Wendywood Vet.

Luckily his owners found him there and he is safely back home as reported by ‘Friend of the Rottweiler Rescue‘.
