SANParks Kruger National Park shared an appreciation post celebrating four of their rangers as everyday heroes, thanking them for protecting SA’s wildlife.
Kruger National Park, South Africa (30 July 2021) – Tomorrow is World Ranger Day, and SANParks took the opportunity to give a shout out to all their everyday heroes, the men and women doing everything to protect our precious wildlife.
World Ranger Day is celebrated worldwide on July 31st to commemorate Rangers killed or injured in the line of duty and to celebrate the work Rangers do to protect the planet’s natural treasures and cultural heritage.
These men and women put their lives on the line, spending time away from their families to preserve and protect our natural world.
Take a look at SANParks’ appreciation post below.
“Appreciation Post: Have a look at this picture; How many heroes do you see? We can tell you that we count four(4). 4 heroes who are responsible for the protection of our wildlife. 4 heroes that spend a huge amount of time away from their families and loved ones so that our natural heritage that is Kruger is preserved. We will be celebrating you specially on the 31st of July as we do every year, but know this- we celebrate you everyday when we see your work. We celebrate you everyday when we look around and still see animals big and small, endangered and plentiful inside the park. Thank you Ranger and K9 heroes. All 4 of you are our everyday heroes. #WorldRangerDay2021”
Remember to honour the rangers, you know, this weekend. They do so much to conserve our beautiful wildlife and national parks.
