After being at the Animal Anti-Cruelty League Cape Town shelter for 609 long days, sweet Sebastian’s big day finally arrived; he was joyfully adopted into a loving home!

Cape Town, South Africa (27 September 2024) – Yearning for a family and home to call his own, it had been a long 609 day wait for poor Sebastian at an Animal Anti-Cruelty League Cape Town shelter.

Taken in over a year ago, the poor furbaby was one of the longest-standing residents at the shelter just waiting to be adopted.

Despite witnessing many of his kennel mates find their forever families, Sebastian remained hopeful.

The 20th of September marked the start of a glorious day and a fresh new chapter for sweet Sebastian!

An emotional video shows the dog excitedly leaving Animal Anti-Cruelty League Cape Town to go to his new home with a new owner where he’ll get to form lasting bonds and get all the love and cuddles he deserves!

“He has been such a perfect boy, patiently waiting for the day where he gets to go home. This one hit hard and we are happy to say he is enjoying his new life to the fullest,” Animal Anti-Cruelty League shared.

The heartwarming moment solidifies the significance and life-changing power of animal adoption for human companions and the many unfortunate animals who fall victim to undeserving circumstances such as cruelty and neglect.
